Arvind Raj is a drum educator and professional drummer with over 8 years of teaching experience and 14 years performing. His work is centred on structured, student-focused music education — helping learners build strong technical foundations, musical understanding, creativity and the confidence to perform.
A Rockschool Grade 8 drummer, Arvind currently works as Drum & Percussion Faculty at Lancers International School, Gurgaon, teaching within the IB Primary Years and Middle Years framework. He has prepared 100+ students for Rockschool and Trinity College London examinations, working with complete beginners through to advanced musicians across all age groups.
Rather than teaching technique in isolation, Arvind connects every exercise to a groove, a song or a real performance situation, so students understand not just how to play something but why it matters. His teaching model moves through technique, rhythm, coordination and groove before musical application and performance — a progression built to hold up under a graded exam, a school concert or just playing along to a favourite track.
